The Ford
#1
So I need to drag my old Ford F100 home. I have an idea as what i want to do with it but wanted to see what you guys think.
I want something simple but that people take a 2nd look at.
I plan on keeping the merc 8 in there for now since I have some hot rod parts for it.

What about the body/paint... Hard to make up my mind.

Get an old truck and you get a cute girl.

Think you'll look cool no mater what you do with it.
Rather you not got the #2 route though

Think if you do black, flat might look better. And then a chrome grill instead of white

I think you should definitely get the girl...

Black one gets the greaser chick, green gets you misses popular. I personally dig the green and then the black one is close rummer up.

You know my hot rod theory brotha. They should all be flat black. On the ferd though it should have white vinyl interior with black piping. I'm talkin everything white. Floor, ceiling, seats, dash, gauge cluster, wheel, all of it. With white wall tires and a flat black grill. No chrome on this one.

THAT is awesome.

Glad you see you're dusting off the hot rod dream... it'll be KILLER, whatever you do, because you are The Bob.

As a follow up for clarity:

Jack's suggestions are awesome with the white.

Bob is donig the hot rod and I'm glad he's getting back into it and it will be awesome becasue he is Bob.

That is all.

For the dash I am going to see if I can get the instrument cluster from the 41 Ford. Found it when cleaning out one of the sheds. I lover the art deco style of it and think that the dash would look good with it. For the interior I want to do a Tijuana tuck and roll Or… a red ox blood leather bench seat that looks like it came out of an old luxury car from the 30’s /40’s the doors will be done to match.
Rims are going to be painted steel wheels with Ford min moons. Tires are going to be the wide white walls.

stance and rims tire size I want.

satin black paint.. wait completely murdered out. complete flat or satin black exterior color with white interior. would look sick. i swapped my old 351c into my friends 55 f100 and its sick fst now. clean truck too. personally i do like the green, its kinda unique in that you dont see it everyday. a burnt or kenworth orange would be sweet too with black wheels and a custom billet grill. a friends shop just finished a 55 f100, ill go take a few pics for ya.

Flat black and red gloss. Or rust it and chop for a Rat Rod style. OD might be really cool too.

Go for for the rat rod look. Something that looks beat up but goes like crazy and rides like a dream. Other than that I think flat black is way over down. I like the well weathered look in older trucks. Something like the Cherry Bomb D 100.
