PEORIA, Ariz. - Peoria police say three men were arrested after they allegedly invaded a home near 75th Avenue and Cactus Road and then got into a car accident when they fled the area.

Police responded to the home Monday morning around 3:18 a.m. after they received a call from one of the victims of the robbery. As officers arrived in the area, they observed the suspects' Chevy Silverado driving at a high rate of speed.

Before the officers could get into position and attempt a traffic stop, the truck was involved in an accident at Peoria and 85th Avenues.

According to witnesses, the three men bailed out of the truck and officers quickly locked the area down and began searching for the suspects. They were able to find the three men and they were taken into custody.

When police searched the truck they found several weapons including an AR-15, an M4, a pistol grip shotgun, a handgun and body armor.

The victims of the robbery say they were tied down by the three men, who were dressed in tactical gear like police.

There were seven victims involved in the incident ranging in age from 12 to 48. Police are still investigating the incident and have not yet determined what the motive might have been for targeting that particular house.

The three men arrested were Aries Genero, of Tonopah, Daniel Rojas, of Avondale, and Migel Xochicali, of Tonopah.

The three men face up to seven counts each of armed robbery and aggravated assault. Genero and Xochicali, both convicted felons, will also face prohibited possessor charges.
