well heres a couple pics of the buggy. finally got sick of the cage. when i build the buggy 2yrs ago it was my first complete tube chassis setup on my frame. it pulled style from the hendricks chassis's and then some from me head. after looking at it everyday and in pics the cage was just way too tall for what i liked. it was proportioned pretty good to the size of the buggy but was too tall and boxy. so... i cut it off last week and im redoing the cage. gonna lower the front a pillar 4.5" and the b pillar 2.5". so it will be raked and the rear cage for the second row seat will be removeable so the 2nd seat will live again in the buggy. right now im waiting on tube(cromo) to come in on mon. redoing it with cromo and dom. i also decided to add a grill to protect the nice radiator that i just put it a few months ago. the grill is from a superduty. i also made new skins for the sides and a new fender skin for the front. enjoy.

well i picked up my tube this afternoon and went home and got to work. got the side rails bent and welded in, got the rear spreader bar noched and welded in, and got the front spreader bar bent and welded in. im really liking how its lookin. its got a meaner and lower stance look to it.

ya its looking much more like i want it too. pretty much since day 1 when i got the buggy done 2 yrs ago i hated the way it looked. but i was kinda stuck cause i had just built it and my wife would have killed me if i cut it right back off then. oh well. it was a great learing experience and i wouldnt go back and change it.
dont have any work today so im trying to finish the cage today. finished up the roof bars a little while ago. just got the x bracing behind the seats left. looks better and better as more tube goes on.

heres a few pics from this afternoon. i got everything but the second set of rear x brace tubes done. with the roof on it looks really good. i posted up the 2 different ways im thinkin of doing the 2nd set of rear tubes. i know theres enough strength in the cage.

hadnt even crossed my mind till you mentioned it. now it does look like it in the 1st option photo. oh well. im the age that grew up with transformers. i just watched the first 3 episodes of the original transformers a few days ago on youtube. its been probly 15 yrs since i watched them at my grandmas house. the thing is my buggy is called Mistress. so that doesnt really tie in with transformers but oh well.
