Other than showing musical talent mid-career, being extremely eccentric and and thereby raising more questions about lifestyle than anyone in recent memory, tell me why anyone would idolize this person?

growing up my parents wouldnt let me listen to Michael Jackson music. So I never really developed a taste for it. Gradeschool we always made fun of him for his plastic surgery and his ever changing skin color, then the weird little kid rumors started and disney pulled his captain eo exhibit

As a kid I was very into him. My first concert was actually MJ when I was 9 years old. My parents took me. As I got older I grew out of the "pop" music, but I still think he was the modern innovator of dance and music. There's so many artists these days that base their style off of him. Yeah he was eccentric and there were tons of rumors about him, but hell show me a true artist that isn't a little bit on the odd side and I'll be shocked.
