axle shafts
#1
alright I need a little advise. Before I bolt in the new ford 8.8 I wanted to put in some sweet axle shafts because it is a c clip axle. should I go with Currie? what about the cromaly shafts, I have heard they are the best. What do you guys think?

I think there is a c clip eliminator kit you can stick in there? Id look at doing that too

cromo are the way to go as that is the strongest material next to 300m. let me know if i can help you out. and im pretty sure theres a c clip eliminator kit available.

Yeah, there is a C-Clip elminator kit from Superior for the 8.8. It actually brings back the half inch width difference that the TJ axle has over the 8.8.

I wouldn't necessarily say you need to do it before you put the axle in. The 31 spline stock 8.8 shafts are plenty strong for runnin 35's and to be honest I've never seen a C-Clip break on that axle. I've seen shafts break, but not because of the C-Clip.

ya i agree with jack, if you arent running a big tire then you dont Need them shafts yet but it doesnt hurt either. the c clip eliminators are nice but they were mainly for drag cars originally if im not mistaken.
