XJ Memorial Day Run

We went... We wheeled... We had fun

Went to Stoneman Lake Rd, then Virgil lead us on Rattle Snake Canyon, neat trail, no water though :(

Then on into Munds Park, gas up & hit the FS 9492D and dropped down into Schnebly Hill Rd. & on into Sedona.
Had lunch & debated running Broken Arrow, ended up running Soldiers Pass.
Got a little rain on the way back home then after Camp Verde the temp shot up to what felt like 100 :(

Ill get pics posted later,
Thanks to all who came out!
Virgil, Caleb, Scott <-- my Brother
Enjoyed wheelin with you all! and look forward to the next time! :)g)

Awesome guys! sorry i couldn't make it. I did, however, celebrate my 18th wedding anniversary today... I wanted to make it to 19 years as well, so I missed a run on our actual date.

can't wait for pictures and I'm glad everyone had a safe, fun time. I love Sedona wheelin'...

Made it home safe and sound. What an awesome day! I can't tell you what a great time we had. Though it wasn't difficult or long, Soldier's Pass was a nice little treat.

I'll post pix soon.

Now hes been out on a few runs with me but Soldiers Pass is his 1st trail with some rocks to climb over, so its ALWAYS fun to see some one on their 1st time :)g)

I hate gnats!

Thanks Paul for instigating this fun day and to everyone else for showing up. We had a great time and enjoyed the company.

I uploaded my pictures here. http://s687.photobucket.com/albums/vv231/k7azv/20090525MemorialDay/

Here are a few of my favorites.

Rattlesnake Canyon trail looking over Sedona to the west.

Paul making it look easy.

Checking out the sinkhole on the Teacup section of Soldier's Pass.

Riding with Paul is like a roller coaster.

All smiles!

Storm rolling in.

I hate gnats. My legs, arms and head are covered in welts from their bites.

Check out Paul's APRS track. It looks like we were lost with all the looping we did. I also thought it was cool that most of his beacons were bouncing off a local weather APRS station with call sign K7NRA.
