Glad to hear you got it worked out. Hopefully the new switches will work great!

So I am wondering if the voltage spike when you hooked it back up shorted out the multi-function switch? That is what you are replacing correct? The unit that plugs into the column? Or just the flasher relay that plugs into the multi-function switch?

That makes perfect sense Norm. When I put my turn signals in the grill I tried using the 5 wire and that just wasn't working. So I just used the 3 wire side marker and everything worked perfectly.

Glad to hear you got it fixed.

While it's fresh on your brain, maybe you can answer this for me.

My turn signals are stock. Every once in a while I'll be stopped in a turn lane and the flasher will stop blinking. It will go solid on. I had the same thing happen to my hazard flashers pulling the camper up to Flagstaff. I was going slow on I-17 and after 2-3 minutes, the flashers went solid on and quit blinking.

Is this the flasher relay? Or is it the switch going bad? How hard is it to change each of those out?
