Massacre Falls 4-04-09
#1
I had the priviledge of hiking with my sister (Yellowsub) Saturday morning out to Massacre Falls. We went mainly in search of wildflowers even though they're suprisingly a little sparse this year. We hiked to the falls (just a drip right now) in the morn and on the way back shot the flowers as they opened. So I warn you ahead of time, here come flower shots:

Yeah definitely have to admit when we pulled into the parking lot at the trailhead I was scared there weren't any flowers! It was nice to do the hiking part and take the time to photog on the way down.... which by then the flowers weren't so shy. I had a good time hanging out with you brother.:))

Thanks mister :cool)
Just remember, that my pics would look as good as yours if I had them framed, too;)

I like your red, purple (such a photogenic little flower), white spread & yellow/red bush. I always like your landscapes. Nice use of the b&w, too. I usually don't like nature in black and white but when there's a dead tree involved it's very fitting.

Also, I'm jealous of you low aperature abilities... I think the lowest I can go is 3.61.

So true. We'll need to get you one of those filters ;)

High aperture, low numbers :P Most mine were 5.6ish. At 2.8 only some of the petals are in focus. 8|
