February run? I've got Monday the 16th off work.

Anybody want to go and where? I'd like to maybe go somewhere down in the FJ area. (I've only been there once out to the Coke Ovens.) Or Michael, do you want to do some more exploring in the TM/Lake Pleasant area?

Hey Virgil have you ever done that road? Well need less to say i have and it SUCKS, i even did it on my quad. It is very long and rocky you would be going a snails pace in any jeep. I did like it however for the veiws there some pretty good ones. Me, speaking from expierence would probably not ever do that trail again. Not to be mean or ruin your trail ride but im just telling you how my trip was. Thats all.

Are you talking about the Dugas road? I was just throwing that out as an idea. I'd really like to do a trail down by FJ, but don't really know that area.

Yea dugas road/off I-17 to the verde river just like the pics show. I go camping that area all the time. It might be different in a jeep, i did there and back on my sport quad. Some times there is snow up top to play in plus theres a ton of mud too

Virgil, as I said on the radio tonight, I'd be interested in doing something relatively easy that Monday. Will talk to my wife tomorrow and see what is planned. Haven't seen her since last Sun, so haven't had a chance to share schedules.

Ok everyone,
After further discussion with John, we are going to meet at 9am at the Cottonwood Road turnoff. We are going to go out to the Woodpecker Mine and explore some of the mines out there. Depending on time and what the group wants to do, we may explore further trails after that.

Careful. One of the Woodpecker mines is the one that Special J got chased out of by 35+ Javalenas. Good times. :))

Yep, great day with perfect sunny weather. 15 rigs total. Made it through Upper Woodpecker and checked out both the Woodpecker and Ajax mines. Will get photos loaded tonight and post in the Been and Done section.
