Every now and again I think of how the future is going to be... technology-wise. I'm sure I'm not the only one, so what are some of your ideas?

smells will be able to be transmitted through your tv/television. Hopefully there will be a mute-type button so you don't have to smell everything you're seeing.

Yeah I forgot about skin pockets. I guess that would make more than just women have saddlebags ;)

I have a feeling that one day technology will blow up on us. Maybe not in our lifetimes, but sometime we will go back to paper records and such.
My one big wonder in tech sector would be for them to find the Higgs Bosan

I see the automatic driving cars (of course), where you just get in and program them (like iRobot or Minority Report).
Also, I think the tech will try to get implanted so you just upgrade your chip or reboot when you want a new life application.

police cars will be equipped with EMP guns. If you start to run away they just zap your car with it and you cant drive
I don't think this is that far away, but absolutely everything will be wireless... and maybe not use batteries. So no more cord cluster underneath desks.

With storage devices getting smaller, I think the trend will be more towards mobile computing. You will have a hard drive or storage that you take with you and just plug into a thin client or use it to boot a workstation anywhere you go.
