Holy SHIT Alan. I just gave you those spacers and thought they were fine. If they are trashed then I'll get you the money back for them. I'm glad you ended up okay.

Thanks to all of you for letting us tag along. Sorry about holding everyone up at the begining with my linkage. My mom had a great time out with all of you also.

It no big deal on the linkage. Thats all part of wheeling. Thanks for not rushing us (the collective we) down the trail!

I don't know how "Holy" it was, but there was plenty of it in my britches when I got home! 8|

I'm back in town now and will look into what the issue was tomorrow. I've got to pull them all off and check them, now. :(( Jen's a bit nervous before the snow run.

I hope it was just me being a bone head, but it sure seems strange that all five bolts stripped, so I'm having to assume I didn't tighten enough, because the threads on the studs were fine.

I'll post pics in tech tomorrow and not hijack this thread anymore. ;)

It was great to meet your Mom, by the way... even if she did call my station wagon a car. :red|

As far as the spacers themselves, though, I was really happy with them. I did pick up a little bit of turning radius (primary objective), but I was also shocked at how much more stable and less top happy the XJ felt with just that little extra bit of "stance". Really happy up until the wheel falling off part. LOL

on that obstacle you got stuck on you had a ton of weight sitting on that back drivers side tire, I would suspect that them not being super tight along with that trail was the cause

Look at the pictures closer. In one of them, I swear I see Lucy near the left rear tire with a lug wrench.

To me the rear left looked odd even as the trail began. I assumed it was the lower air or a bent axle.

LOL Glad I made it through the trail, then!

I thought the rears looked odd too, so I checked the air pressure. The auto deflators I used on the rears were both set to 6 instead of 12, so I assumed the oddness was due to lower than normal air pressure. The right rear still looks strange, so it wouldn't surprise me one bit if they are loose too.

What an odd trip! Geoff it fitting me in at 11:30 today at his shop to take them all off, tighten them with an air tool, and make sure we don't die on the snow run! Yeah Geoff!!!

Still, though, I had a blast. The pics looks great as usual, Mike. Bob it was realy good to see you. Can't wait until your rig is up and running.

Also, as a conspiracy theorist, it woudn't surprise me if Lucy did it... she's a government plant working for the BLM!

I ordered a new vid software from Frys, the program cost $70 but they were having a 1 day special with $70 worth of mail in rebates, so all I had to pay was tax

Should be in next week sometime and then I will mess with it

I was gonna see if I could copy it to my flash drive and do it while im at work
