Snow? Run - Saturday 1-03-09
#1
Virgil's idea for Rattlesnake Canyon is slated.
We're trying to make this an inclusive snow run, weather permitting.

Trail is listed as a 3.0
Length: 4.4mi
Time: 1hr +

We can think of a backup trail if the snow's not ready for us. Just mark the date on your cal for now.

Probably. Just pray for snow. Seems like a ways to go for a short trail without. Maybe we can figure in something else just in case.

I've never done a snow run. Count me in. Thanks Doug

Looks like Flagstaff got 6-10 inches of snow last night. I saw photos of the rim by Payson with 2-3 inches. Looks promising for this run to have some SNOW!!!

Lookin like I'm in, the conditions are lookin pretty sweet right now with another storm slated for next week. Might have a couple more toyota guys with if that's ok? Only 2.

Mike what is the elevation of this trail? (Roughly) their gettin hammered over 5500 now. next weeks storm is suppose to be a bit warmer tho. :'(

Don't know where this is but if we can up in elevation then it should be golden or white in this case. :)g)

I can post more trail info when I get home tonight.

Also, I'm probably bringing a few others from the Phoenix East Valley 4x4 group.

The trail is one way, but we can make a loop of it from what I remember. I'll consult the books and maps tonight and post more info.

Here's a map of the general area of the trail.

FYI, can't move up the Rattlesnake Canyon run since the area is closed off until Jan 1. If you guys want to go for snow somewhere else, go!
