That thing is awesome. Saw it last year and fell in love with it.

After a cage and some unibody stiffeners.....you'll see.....in time....you'll see.

(Pssshhh yeah right. In my dreams)

Heres a few I did on monday night

I'm loving all the update pics, but someone needs to tell Geoff before there's nothing left that he's not going to find a Jeep under there :)=)

How much did you end up angleing that box steel on the rockers? Doesn't look bad, I guess I just pictured more boaty of an angle.

That tape isn't going to hold it together. Upgrade to duct tape, plus it matches your paint color.

Also, is that a jack stand on top of a jack stand by the rear wheel? 8|
#27
Yep sure is. I couldnt find my jack fast enough
#28
Well heres a few more done today. Yea i said today really slow at work. Please go wreck a few cars please im super slow.
Yes i know it looks like a trent fab chassis, but if you remeber my old one i tried to match it.

Heres a few to make you ALL so JEALOUS
I had to make the longarms even longer. I cut them apart and added three inches. I ran down to the steel shop got a piece of .250 chromoly and sleeved the arms. Yea i had to hammer them in too

Cycled the suspension no bindin, it will hit the track bar brace if i go for a long big jump and it all bottoms out but maybe ill change it up a little later

This is what it looks like when its at ride hieght

Heres were I had to cut the track bar and move it forward
The dogs were staying back just in case... :)g)

I'm going to punch you when I see you.

that is all.

(seriously... that is awesome, amazing, killer, and a whole bunch of other words I don't know right now, but mean the same thing. Really out standing work, Geoff.)
#34
Is it just me or is that thing starting to resemble a wrangler...smaller meaner looking bumper with round headlights closer together and a frame? Great work love the new bumper }:(:cool)

I am addicted to this build thread.

I need more pics!

This is looking great, man. It was also good to see you Saturday. Thanks for riding in my rig. Good times.

this is the most head room I've ever seen in a caged XJ...

Heres a few more pics. I did get the kids seats in but i didnt take a pic(my bad).
Here is what the new track bar mount loos like

Heres the new one on the axle side. Makes the track bar about 5 inches longer

Heres the engine cross over that ties both sides together. Yea i know theres no speration, but im just tring to get it drivable.

Heres the traction/torque arm mount for the rear on the 14 bolt.

Whats the good word?
#38
Man so how much more is left for Rockfest? This build is bad! I will keep up! Now that I know you can weld, and I live in Peoria, maybe the Dr can make a house call and help me with my boatsides?

I helped him figure out where the blue and pink wires went to.

And the phone conversation went something like this:

Virgil: Hello.
Geoff: Virgil, this is Geoff from HG. Michael gave me your number.
Virgil: Oh hey, how's it going?
Geoff: I tore my Jeep into a million pieces and I can't figure out how to put it back together. Can you tear your's apart and find where the blue and pink wire connect to?

:)=) Glad I could help Geoff!
