Just wanted to go somewhere. Pointed the X towards the Superstitions and took an old road off the 88 past Tortilla Flats. It takes you towards the other end of Fish Creek if you're willing to hike the rest of the way.
Nice little gate keeper at the beginning, mostly hard flat rock to follow.
After hiking the trail for a couple miles I blazed out to an overlook above Fish Creek.
Driving on the way out I met a hiking couple at the obstacle. They had seen me coming and wanted to "see how it was done."
Saw 3 deer out there and used my ABS to miss another on the road in. Hindsight now brings me to the image of missed opportunity Thanksgiving Deer though.

Glad you were able to get out and see some turning leaves. Pretty pics and nice x pics, too. Was it a little scary to get out of the X for a picture on that one?
