Hi all,
I had some trouble getting the forum registration process to work, so I have not had write access to the forum to leave a post. Now that that is all straightened out, I figured I might as well (attempt to) write a "Howdy from a forum newb" post. Since I had time to think about it, I decided to write more than I would have otherwise.
The day started off like most others, however this day was a nice day to have a bikini top on my Jeep, I placed it on and headed off to work.
After a nice trip to lunch with some coworkers, great Mediterranean food on a patio, it was time to head back. There is just something nice about a open Jeep ride at lunch time, the smells of the restaurants, the nice weather, and not being at work.
Once back back to work, well at least the parking lot, I decided to park under a a nice shady tree. From a distance I saw a open spot on each side of another Wrangler. Perfect parking spot to park a Wrangler.
As I parked, I saw why the other Wrangler had none of those nice office sedans and SUVs parked next to it. Besides not having bumpers, fenders and a back seat, there were dings, dents and scratches on each side. Was that a spider I saw in the back seat area? Then there was the license plate, "FATBOB", just begging one of the nice Lexus there to park next to it.
Perfect parking spot to park a Wrangler.
Time passes as I was working. When I came out to my Wrangler, the other one was gone. As I approached my Jeep, a reminder of its presence was staring back at me. I was carded...while at work!
The web site name on the card caused me to pause at its meaning, and then I saw the little logo in the corner. Apparently I was right, so I hurried home to check out the web site, and leave a greeting post.
As I mentioned, that took a while, such is life.
Since that time, I met Bob in person. Can I call you Bob? Should I call you Fat Bob? Is there a good story behind getting that license plate? Inquiring minds want to know.
As for the web site, I know remember coming here once before, in the past. I bought a Shrockworks Schrockbar from 4x4RockShop and posted a review blurb there. Later saw one here. Nice rock sliders.
I added a pix from a well know trail, can you guess where it was taken from?
