Speed cameras going active on the 101

Heads up
As early as Friday, motorists traveling certain West Valley stretches of Loop 101 and Interstate 10 could have their photos snapped if they're going too fast.
During the past two weeks, state Department of Public Safety workers have been installing and wiring nine speed cameras like the ones on Scottsdale's portion of the loop. They will go online no later than Wednesday, with the majority located in the Glendale area.
Areas monitored are the eastbound lanes at 75th, 59th and 35th avenues; southbound lanes at McDowell, Indian School and Bethany Home roads; and the eastbound lanes of I-10 at 287th Avenue and Miller and Watson roads.
Man... they are just taking the fun out of driving... I go from 67th Avenue to 35th Avenue everyday on the 101 (Beardsley). I saw them and I have slowed down even though they were not active. The whole Highway has... there seems to be a bottle neck just before them :(

Those of you married people just register the cars each of you drive in the other persons name. Then when the tickets come in the mail you can say it wasn't you driving.

They have changed the law on it.
If a photo radar ticket is mailed out, the registered owner has to appear in court to prove they are not the responsable one. They are then questioned who was driving their vehicle that day.

I drive the 101 everyday as well, i have seen several people slam on there brakes for the one at 59th ave i think it is. I have the spare tire carrier on the back of my xj as well so i wonder if the pic they would take would just be of my tire?

A customer came into my shop Thursday that had a nice XJ on 35's. On his way to the shop a bike cop stopped him and told him he had to move his license plate b/c his tire carrier was blocking it.

I am amazed more XJ's are not pulled over for that same reason... my wife got pulled over (and got a ticket) driving mine when there was not a plate on it. Ok, so I should have gone to the DMV a little quicker :)=)
I see a lot of motorcycles with the plates tucked under where you can barely see it never mind the cameras being able to... they haul some major azz on the highways because they know the cameras will not catch them.

Well Im 99% sure that my plate is in a ligit spot and Ive even made sure theres a light over it too, But I too also wonder if my tire wil block the plate
