Great three days down in the canyon. There were ruins pretty much every 1/4 to 1/2 mile; some 200ft above the canyon floor. For those not familliar, it's like a guided tour, only on your terms. We had a Navajo guide ride with us who grew up in the canyon that would timeline the ruins, tell stories, etc.
Nothing hardcore on the wheeling, mostly sand and after the rains Saturday, plenty of mud. I'm pretty sure most of it is now in Sc00by's driveway. Evenings were spent around the campfire and the Indians told stories and sang in Navajo. Our camp site was in a cave area a stones throw away from more ruins. The rain on Saturday didn't touch camp because of the cliff overhang but the water falling off the canyon was amazing. Probably have an official write up since we have so many pics.
We'd like to propose an official HG trip next year. It would be a great 2nd option for those that have already said they were out for Moab b/c of time off issues. With an easy pace and plenty of history information, it should be a good sell for families or friends. Think about it and ask questions if you have them.
Here's a few photos for now. More to follow. The colors there were rediculously beautiful.
