Lift or no lift??
#1
OK...
Im in a bit of a delima and need the opnion of my fellow wheelers / Friends :)g)

The XJ is sporting a 4.5" RE-lift and it handled / wheeled GREAT with the 33" AT tires.
Well now that I have the 35" MT tires my ability to flex as I use to had deminished & the rear is in bad shape as it bottoms out quickly with the bigger tires.
Now Im working on saving the $$$ for that 6.5" Rock Crawler kit from Absolute Offroad.
How ever I do have laying around here some 2" blocks & 2" coil spacers.

So do I add the 2" lift to give me more space in the wheel well as a "temp" fix or just leave it as it :?:

Comments / suggestion welcomed.... please dont point & snicker :'(

I hate the blocks... But if this will work as a temp fix then I say do it.

Ditto but needed for now. It'll be our little secret.

X2. I even added a 2" shackle lift (that I had to call you repeatedly on one of your trips to Vegas while I was trying to install...:red|) to help with this.

I'm in with the rest of the boys. It's a means to an end so go ahead and give it the boost to make it more wheelable in the mean time.

OK...
Rear is 100% 2" blocks and adding said blocks added the need for a longer drive line (did the SYE and was using a cheater shaft)
So today I aquired a front DS off an 94ZJ 5.4L fits great and its not showing any of the teeth on the slip joint!.

The front...
Added the 2" coil spacers and now the entire front end is wacked!!
thought I was going to have to fab up a plate and re-locate the track bar, so with that I put the tires on and lowered it and what do ya know it now lines up.
So too late and too tired to finish it up so Ill align the track bar & adjust the steering tmro and should be able to take it for a test spin.

So far Ive gotten about 2.5" of lift by doing this :)g)
Poor Jen... now Ill need to bring along a step stool so she can hop in <-- no this is NOT a joke...

Matches the Jeep too :)g)

Army Surplus store on 43rd & Glendale $22.00 the lock on spout is roughly $8

So far the death wobble seems to be at a minimal and it took about 15 trys & test drives to get my steering wheel & tires all stright

Poser driveway pics, ha. Way too clean also.

Alan demands Canyon de Chelly pics in the mud. 50% chance of rain on us this weekend, so I don't think that will be a problem.

I like that can. I was wanting a 2nd or 3rd can for myself, but the red ones are $40 at Sportsman's Warehouse.
