Reminder when camping...
#1
Yesterday my family and I went up to Payson to get out of the city and scout out for a possible camp spot next weekend.

While on our mission we came across a camp fire not 100% put out. It may not be dry this time of year, but the wispy grass near this camp fire would not take much even set to burn. Please Please be sure your camp fires are out.

We took our bottled water, a 32oz cup, poored nearby puddle water on the fire, then used the 32oz cup like a shovel to put mud over the fire put to smoother it. After some additional scouting we drove back by to make sure we had it completely out. When I say we, I include my 3 and 5 year old, who kept walking between the pit and the water puddle about 30 yards away, mad did they get muddy, but they had fun doing something good.

Just a reminder to please be sure if you have a fire it is out. If anyone is going to head up Payson way next weekend let me know, looks like we are going to camp out Friday and Saturday night and come home Sunday.

Good advice. Allot of times the fire is out but the coals and embers underneath are still hot and can start back up again pretty quick. Best method is to drown and bury it like you did

I have seen that so many times... you just can not take a chance. Good post!
