Fuel Lines
#1
Ok here's the back story.
Wed I was driving to Scottsdale for an interview when the Jeep Goes Pop Spuuuttttter and dies.
A tow truck happens to be a couple of miles behind me and is able to grab me of of the freeway (construction zone = no shoulder :-/ ). After arguing with AAA the tow guys say's screw them and takes me and the Jeep to the closest gas station and then me onto my interview. (thank you extremely nice Tow guy!) And big thanks to Rob and Jack I got the Jeep back down to my house last night using Robs trailer.

So here's the problem so far:
Fuel is leaking out of the return line toward the engine. There's no connection from that line to anything and I can't figure out where it is supposed to connect.
There's still gas in the tank I can hear it swish around...

Anyone know where the return line is supposed to connect?

Are you Throttle Body or straight carb? Should enter near there

Randy, I believe on the CJ's those lines should kick over a few inches at some point in from the tank to the carb. I think there is soft line in that spot where they do bend. Might have lost it right there.

I put a hose on the only open hole I could find but I don't think it's right.
I can get her to turn over and rev but as soon as I let go of the key she dies....

TBI or carb?

I show it going into the back port if you have a TBI

So I finally figured it out.
It was suggested that the fuel thing was a side issue, but it might be the starter switch. I replaced that, no dice.
I started checking all of the wires coming from the switch and found one with no continuity. Today I threw a temporary wire in there to replace the open and she lives! I'll have to run to autozone and get a peice of wire to replace the open.
