We had a great time. Lots of people at the swimming hole on Saturday afternoon but it was awesome. The hike out was as we all expected but we made great time.

Mike has the exact figures but it was arond 1 hour and 30 min down and 2 hours and 10 min out

Great trip.
Quick Highlights:
I love that you totally forget you're in AZ from the moment you get there on.
I had fun with all of it, but doing the trifecta where you took the rope swing, splashed down 40ft below where you could swim into the unerwater tunnel up the other side, dive under the fall's current, then end up in the cave behind them was really fun. Funny too that most people were like "where'd they go??" Or when you popped out from behind them, "where'd they come from?"
Mmmm wild blackberries with every meal
Getting told for the second yr in a row that we had "hands down, the best camping set up." Even though we were at different spots.
We did though. This time we had water a couple feet off on one side and rock on two of the others. And then a canopy of tree above us.

Is the trifecta near the big dam thing?
thats the only underwater passage I know of.

Crap! I didn't realize this was the cool swimming hole. I saw pics from last year's trip right after I joined the site, but spaced this was the same trip. I still couldn't have gone, but my jealousy-o-meter just went up!

Can't wait for pics. :)=)

Correct. Last Year's Trip

Here's an assortment of pics from this one:
I didn't take as many as usual b/c I wanted to keep playing in the water ;)

Once again had a great time. The rope swing and swimming hole never seem to get old and the tree coverage makes you forget you are in Arizona. I have to admit carrying the 45 for the hike in and out made me feel a little extra cool...especially when the group of 20 somethings we passed on the way out said something like "did you notice all those guys were strapped...that's cool." 8|You have to respect my athoritie

No.
I am too particular at this point with my photos. Very few make the cut but you can find some of them in my signature.

*Special J took the one of me on the rope swing. He also has some vid too.

Stupid story.
One of the straps for my roof tire was twisted and making a loud whirring noise. Special J decided to check it out by peering out his window (sitting on the sill to see the roof as I was driving down the HWY). He confirmed it was the strap and we pulled over at the Indian gas station on the 87. When I got out a Indian cop pulled up to me and said, "mumbly mumbly mumbly manslaughter." I had to ask him to repeat himself twice. I was still having trouble understanding so I told J to come over and talk to him. He was told that if he had fallen out doing whatever he was doing and died, I would be convicted of manslaughter. He told the cop that it was a lose/lose situation b/c if he had stayed inside with the horrendous fart I had loosed, he was pretty sure he would've died anyway.
