Here are the rigs that showed up for the run (minus Jack "Skitter"... met him out on the trail)

excuse the slight blurriness

Cool rock lights :cool)

So what did you end up running?
Where were the pics taken?
Any damage to anyone?

We ran lower woodpecker and upper ajax. Would have liked to do more but Rod (the one leading who new the area) wanted to call it at about 11:00. No one else new the area well enough at night to continue without him. So we ended up wheeling for about 3 1/2 hours. Sorry we didn't get better pic's. It's tough at night and especially when you are wheeling with new people. We had a good time and definitely push our jeep's capabilities. We have a little bit of body damage to post. Could have been a lot worse without three guys pushing our jeep away from the rocks as we went through the obstacle.

Cool. Getting anything with a night shot is cool so thanks for the ones you got!
And congrats on Upper Ajax for sure.

Fire Hole work out?

Is the Zuk with all the diamond plating Chips?

I like the idea of wheeling with different groups. Some aspects really made me appreciate our group and the way we wheel together. But this run definitely made us step up a little bit. Nobody used spotters, you just picked your own line and went. It forced me to be decisive and trust myself picking lines. If you got in trouble people were there to help but you had to let them know you needed help. I like the occasional reassuring "you're doing good" or "don't worry your front tires are about to come down". There was none of that on this trip. But all in all we only got a little scary tippy once and some scrapes on our fender flare and a little on the body.

If Fire Hole is part of Upper Ajax then we did it (no bypasses). I'm thinking that was where they had to push us away from the rocks as we went through. The obstacle tipped our jeep hard into the canyon wall. Probably would have put a nice dent/scratch down the entire passanger side without pushing us up by the roll bars as we passed.

Yeah the blingy diamond plate is Chip's...still a work in progress. Plans on painting the white parts a rust orange and the silver will be black. The new axles and 36" super swampers are supposed to go on after this run.

very nice wish i could of came maybe next time
#11
very cool how bad was the damng?
#12
Wow! That's is soooo cool, team yellowsub. I'm sorry I missed it.

The rock lights look like they were throwing enough light in the right spots, and (like Jonathan said), it's always cool to run with different groups and to have to push yourself. That looked like a "big boy" run "fo sho"!

Good driving, guys. That's cool you held your own out there at night!

(pardon me while I go getto...) Way to straight represent, ya'll (sorry, Arkansas boys can't say "dawg". It's against our state consitution)!

Nice pics Jonathan and Dana. Don't know if you talked to Bob or Kristi today, but I would've much rather ran with you all last night than the 8 hour trip we took up Die Hard. I didn't get home until 5:30.

You are 100% right about wheelin with different people. It is good to do every once in awhile. You gain an appreciation for the crew that you do run with most of the time.

So where did you catch the body damage?

The damage is hardly worthy of a picture, but maybe we will post that tomorrow. It is mostly on the rear passenger fender flare a little on the plastic the door closes against and more like a scuff where it says wrangler on the passenger side right in front of the door. Happened on Upper Ajax not sure what the obstacle was called but it is right on a curve in the wash where the canyon walls are high on either side no way to bypass and you get tipped into the rocks.

Yup, I know exactly where you are talking about. Doesn't sound too bad. Watch out though, now that you got some it's easier to take more. :)=)

How is your confidence level now after running with those boys and seeing their lines? :))

Apparently Nate thought he went to FJ with you guys :eyeroll:
