What is the NEXT mod you want to do?
#1
I looked and didn't see a thread like this on here. But just like the title says. Out of everyone's wish lists, what is the very next think you are realistically going to do to your rig?

Mine: Adding in some tube to the cage to keep from squishing mah mellon.

realistically? install the new power steering pump I have sitting in the garage

Wish list? full cage, lockers, alloy shafts
#3
Next install is the 5.5 RE front springs I got from AO, then the electrical for my lights and my winch.

Wish list: 4:1 and a D44... conversion to a long arm kit?

Next will probably be a bar for our 5 point harness and an access cover over our shifter.
After that is upgrading our rear axle
#5
Lights and winch
#6
Doing an SYE tonight (or starting it)
BUT... THIS is what Im talkin about!!!!! :)g) 8|

Nice. I like what I see. You all have some good goals for your rigs.

You ask anyone that has a 4:1 and they will tell you that it is probably the best thing they've added to their rig.

However I agree that you'll want adjustables and an SYE first. :D

Jack, I can help you or anyone else with tube work, I got a bender and a hot glue gun..... Welder. :)g) Did all the tube work on my junk.

I wanna do an on board belt driven air compressor. Need to modify the factory a/c mount to take my mini york, will require machine work though. Still in the planning stages. Once that is done then I can do the engine cage.

Thanks for the offer Sy, I appreciate it. Jim and I have been talking about some designs for my tube work, so it will probably be my summer project.

HA, if I had one it wouldn't be going in your rig. :)=) I look on Pirate at least once a week for one of those. Hackle found his in Nevada, and that was a miracle that the actual truck was out there. I've never actually seen one of those trucks further west than Kansas.

You could still roll with an early model Ford high pinion 60. They still had kingpins until th early 80's I believe. Stay away from around 88 or so and newer because they moved the pinion out further towards the knuckle and that puts a jam on your brackets and such. The snow fighter is optimum because they already come with 35 spline inners.

And I'm not saying that there would Never be one in a yard here in town. Just saying that we've never seen one this far west.

I keep expecting you to open your coat and say "hey man... you wanna buy a 60, man? This is high quality stuff... we don't usually get it this far West, but for you i get it special..." :))
