Had a great weekend. Did a little wheeling and a little camping with the crew from Higherground4x4.

Started out with this.

Found this:

No plates and all the #โ€™s on the DOD stickers were rubbed out. Stolen?

Started seeing more green.

Camped out under the stars.

megan and I had a good time this weekend, the verde was pretty nice, should bring some fishing poles and inter tubes next time to float in too ;)
#5
Definitely. I had a great time too. Great scenic look to the area.
Good to meet you Cooper. How's the leak and bumper?
#6
The only problem I have is that now I want a truck more than ever. Driving home after the trip just sucked. Dust all over the place and the slow drive home.
I have truck envy.

you as well mike. i had an awesome time. thanks for letting me join you guys and girls. well my tranny has stopped leakin i think which im not taking as good so i wont be drivng it for a while. at least till i can afford to fix it. and the bumper is wat it is. messed up. but i have plans to replace it anyway so no hard feelings

Jonathan and I had a super time, too! Like he said, it's one of the best camping spots we've had. Glad to have a newbie with us, too. Thanks for posting some pics Bobert... will post some hopefully tonight. Can't wait for Mikes National Geographic worthy pics :))

About your Tranny:
Sounds like you just need at the least to reseal the pan. Even at worst, replacing the pan would be pretty cheap to. Just get one of Ebay or AMC 4x4's yard on 67th and Grand

yea so i thought i was leaking out of the seal from the pan but i talked to my buddy who is goin to UTI and he said that i might have a hairline crack in my tranny too. he said that he doesnt think that a rock hitting the pan would make it leak from the seal. u think thats more likely as to wat happend

havent heard of that before, Id think youd have to hit it really hard for that to happen. Is it under warranty? If so just wash it up and take it to the dealer and have them see whats wrong
#12
no warranty. just over the factory 3 years and i didnt buy one when i bought the jeep.
#13
W/o seeing it I can't say for sure. I've just seen rocks hit pans, diff covers, etc just right to where it peels it up some around the seal.
I know we replaced Jared b/c he dented it up which created some problems for him. Does your transmission have overdrive? The pans are bigger and are in a place that can take a hit much easier. A stock skid was offered on some and Rubi's that essentially extended the the center crossmember skid forward to cover it. Jared had to do that on his to keep his off the rocks.
#14
do u think thats wat i should do is get it fixed when i can and then see if i can buy one of those skid plates?
#15
Isolate the leak first so you know what you're dealing with. Wipe it clean, then watch.
Get the skid either way.

MAN I am SOOOOOOOOOOOOO jealous. I'll be back in Arizona tonight, but I'm really disappointed I missed this trip. It looks beautiful and fantastic and I seriously am jealous.

Glad everyone had a good time, though. I'll go pray about my jealousy now. :red|
