Ring and Pinion gear ratio?
#1
So soon I want to correct my speedometer reading.
I've read the write up for Dana's Jeep as well as other instructions on the internet. So it's an easy fix.

The question is which gear do I need to buy.
I know the tire size but how do I determine the gear ratio.

easiest way is to ask broken cistern what he put in there ;)

theres a way to figure it out by pulling off the diff and rotating the tires, then counting how many times the pinion spins, but its complicated. Ill see if I can find the instructions

It was either 3.54 or 3.73. I can't remember for sure.

I've got to do the same again. Jonathan and I paced each other and he was going 37 in his truck (his is off, too) and I was 53!
