To my surpirse, it wasn't even my signature on the doc. I was all prepared with Articles of Incorporation, W2's, proof of employee status, and the secret card that I had proof they had no legal right to sue in the state of AZ since they were not reg with the Corp Comiss even though they had officies here.
I laughed when I saw my forged sig that even mispelled my last name, then handed over my lic and a couple bank cards of long holding with my messy ace sig and asked the judge if she saw any similarity. I said I'm a notary and if the plantif had let me a actually see a copy of the doc before hand, I could have brough my registered seal with the state of AZ signed by me. She scolded me on my messy handwriting and I asked if there was lwa on the books that mandated the legibilty of signatures. She said no, and then asked if I had anything else to add. Since I could not rebut after the other side spoke, I went ahead and played all my cards anyway. The funniest part at the end being the "non right to sue" laws in AZ. The guy flabergastedly looked at the judge and said he was pretty sure his NV lawyer told him he didn't think it was necessary but he was supposed to get back to him. The judge pretty much said, "Do you know what state you're in?"
I have to wait a few days before the verdict is mailed out but it seemed like it went well.
I had a stack of paperwork with me of laws and ordinances and either the plantiff or the prev owner had simply forged my sig. :eyeroll:
