The word Haberdashery just popped into my head for no explicable reason and I had to look it up.

1. a shop of men's furnishings, as shirts, ties, gloves, socks, and hats.

2. Chiefly British . a shop of small wares and notions.

I swear I just heard a Tom Shane commercial where he said "Hell Yes" in the middle of his monotone diamond speech, never even raising his voice.

found out my email address was spamming. think it is fixed now but yahoo is also monitoring it. i had scanned all my computers and they were clean so i was just going to delete the account. yahoo has a message about this and it is common. they did something on their end and then i had to change my password to a more secure one. we will see but i am changing my contacts to use my rbrote@ymail.com address instead.

theres a bad spyware going around causing lots of accounts to do this

download malwarebytes from malwarebytes.org then boot into safemode and see if it cleans it up

wondering what Yahoo told you to do to resolve it?

just found out my super old aol account was sending out some spam. Funny thing is I haven't used it in years. Don't know where they would have gotten the password from.

it is not my machines. i have malware already and did complete scans to make sure. from what i read it is common with yahoo and if you have a weak password as i did at the time it opens you up more. will see if this works. sometimes i wonder if they allow it to happen for the money?

hmm, I wonder if yahoo and hotmail email servers were hacked recently and username passwords were stolen. My cousin had the same generic spam being sent from hotmail, my dad and sister had the problem with yahoo.

I bet thats what it was, someone hacked all the weak username/password combos

and with this thread, I have now taken my NAXJA stickers off the XJ and have deleted the quick link from favorties tool bar so I will not be tempted to every review the board again.

http://www.naxja.org/forum/showthread.php?t=1045882

(If you were making a list of guys I don't get along with on that board, you would have the list of nominations for President and Vice President. It's a shame that the AZ chapter has dropped down to this... I thought Jon did a great job and the current leadership had the best interest of the chapter at heart. Not sure with the current group of "leaders".)

Geoff - if there is anything I need to be aware of from that board, just PM me.
