Just wanted to give everyone a heads up, last year during some meetings at the capitol, there was talk due to the PM10 Dust Abatement Rules that they were going to close down the public lands (STL, BLM etc...) there were within Maricopa County. Lucky for us the lobbyist that the AZOHVC helps to fund caught this and brought it to our attention.
The compromise is that on High Pollution Days, Monday - Friday we are not to be using OHV, this includes Jeeps, on public land. Yes you can get a ticket for this, I am not sure how much it is, but it won't be cheap.
Weekends are not included in this, so even if there is a high polution advisary on a weekend, you can still wheel. I know this is not good for the guys with days off in the middle of the week, but it was the best we could do, short of losing them all together.
