I know we tell our families that, but it's always good when you can demonstrate it. Really makes them feel secure and loved and that they are the most important thing in the world... so if there was a good take away form this, it was a strong family building moment!
Sorry to hyjack the thread...
I'm about to hijack it for a second and go on what you said above.....the family thing. I was 22 (omigoodness, 14 years ago!) and lost my job at the hospital I was working at at the time. I was living in upstate NY, about an hour and 15 mins from my parents. I called my dad, crying like an idiot and trying to tell him what happened. He listened and then told me to go home to my house, take a hot shower and calm down..everything was going to be okay. I did and was about to call him back, when he and my mother pulled into my driveway. The BOTH left their jobs and drove that distance to take me out to lunch and make me feel better. It doesn't matter WHAT age, parents are always doing these great things....
I'm glad you had that moment and feeling. Glad she's feeling fine. Tell her I'm SUPER jealous cuz I never had racoon eyes!!!!
