Wow, sounds like an amazing day.

I took off work early and met my wife at the emergency room since my 6 year old daughter had a nasty spill on the playground around lunchtime and broken her nose along with a concussion.

Poor kid. This kind of dominated the day...

Awwwww, what a beautiful girl!!! Hope she's feeling better soon!!!

Alan.....wow, prayers for her, hope she is not hurting too bad

She was actually more upset that she missed the Valentine's Day party at school. Kids are amazing and God is good. She's going to be fine. Made it through the night OK and is now "excited" about having "raccoon eyes"... we're trying to make that "cool". :red|

Thanks for all your thoughts and prayers. We are through the scary part... just made for an odd V-Day.

I did, however, get to demonstrate that family is more important than work by clearing my calendar and running out of the office as soon as possible (Duh!). I know we tell our families that, but it's always good when you can demonstrate it. Really makes them feel secure and loved and that they are the most important thing in the world... so if there was a good take away form this, it was a strong family building moment!

Sorry to hyjack the thread...

I'm sure there are romantic stories out there... it's not like we are a bunch of Jeep Geeks or anything! I know I saw Waffle House posted here somewhere. :)=)

I'm about to hijack it for a second and go on what you said above.....the family thing. I was 22 (omigoodness, 14 years ago!) and lost my job at the hospital I was working at at the time. I was living in upstate NY, about an hour and 15 mins from my parents. I called my dad, crying like an idiot and trying to tell him what happened. He listened and then told me to go home to my house, take a hot shower and calm down..everything was going to be okay. I did and was about to call him back, when he and my mother pulled into my driveway. The BOTH left their jobs and drove that distance to take me out to lunch and make me feel better. It doesn't matter WHAT age, parents are always doing these great things....

I'm glad you had that moment and feeling. Glad she's feeling fine. Tell her I'm SUPER jealous cuz I never had racoon eyes!!!!

Sorry to hear about your daughter but glad she's ok.

Jonathan left a card with a miniature rosebush in the truck that morning.
We spent a relaxing night at home doing absolutely nothing. It was great.

Had lunch with the big bro :)=)

My wife bought me some study material for my next promotion testing for Staff Seargent coming up this May lol I guess I should take the hint she wants me to make it. We also just stayed in at home and enjoyed each others company.

Good luck on your test!!!! I was with a military guy for 9 years and went thru staff and master with him. You'll be in my prayers!

Oh thanks this will be my second time testing so I just hope I can make it. Thanks for the prayers they will be needed.
