As much fun as the family stuff, food and gift stuff, the "after party" was our favorite part. Maybe we just need a dirt lot to circle the jeeps around a fire barrel.
At first, we were like, woah, did we just get kicked out and the party shut down? Then we were like, oh, "this is good stuff, remember when... etc etc."

Yeah, we didn't actually have to scramble. We just had the driveway blocked when my parents came home. So instead of reparking, everyone just started to leave.

This time, we can retire to the backyard, keep the firepit burning and hang out longer.

Anyone want to try some elk steaks? I have a few still frozen. Someone shared an easy recipe so I thought I'd toss it out there. Elk steak marinated with Paul Newman Italian Dressing for 24 hours. Hot sear on the outside so it's still pink in the center.

Also, I took that Friday off to finish decorating, cleaning, and setting up for the event. If anyone wants to come early and hang out I'm good with that, too.
