Default 86 Chevy K10

Sooo....... My Dad just bought this today....

86, 4x4 short bed reg. cab with a rebuilt 305.

It runs and drives great, just passed emissions.... has a small oil leak that I believe is a valve cover, A/C needs some work and recharged, interior needs completely re-done etc.. He had a lifted 78 SB Reg Cab K10 for years, was the truck I learned to drive on. So he's pretty excited to have this to toy with. I'm sure he'll end up doing a good resto on it.

Love it. I don't think a digital copy of the 78 even exists, if I can find something I post it up.. I love these old trucks.

    Little update..

I recently reposed my suburban that my little sister in-law was making payments on, and she completely trashed it. So my original thought was to pull the motor and such out to put in the wagon, but after talking with my dad we are going to do a frame off on this truck and put the newer trans, and 5.3 vortec in the truck and make a nice daily driver out of it. Should be fun and will be an incredibly nice truck when we are done that gets good mpg and fun to drive. Going to tear it down and start from the axles up. I'll keep it documented and the thread updated!

Making progress.... got the motor pulled out of the donor truck today..

Few more little things to pull this weekend, and I have someone coming Monday to haul the donor away. Then, the truck comes in and comes apart...
