2015 javalina hunt
No pigs were harmed in the making of this hunt.
Went to bed late Wed with a hope of getting out of town by 10am Thurs. Didnt pull out of my driveway till almost 1pm. Took my time driving up the hill with the jeep in tow. Made it to camp about 3:30 and got it all set up by 5 so I could head back down the hill to meet my Dad in Prescott.
Friday morning we were up early and out in an area that had been filled with pigs on past trips. Lots of tracks. No pigs.
Took a quick lunch and headed to a new area. Hiked all over the side of the hill. Same thing as the other area. Stayed out till about 5:30 and then headed to town for dinner.
Sat... same as Friday. Looked at new area, tried glassing, walking, followed tracks... Nothing to be found.
Packed up camp on Sat and headed home.
We talked to hunters on Fri and Sat and kept getting the same story "Found tracks no pigs.."
