Thanks to everyone who came out today. We had a really good time. Thanks to Dana for taking the pictures and Chip for making it up the last waterfall of Collateral unassisted (not sure how the rest of us would have gotten out without that).

And a final big thanks to Bob:

the black beast lives on...me likey the 4to1. It made a huge difference on Collateral. We made it up all the obstacles unassisted except the last waterfall and no gunny on the gas (we can actually crawl now). The extra belly clearance with the slip yoke was very nice as well. =)

Guys, we had a BLAST! One of the dudes who rode with us gave me a number of a guy who has XJ parts... for $20 I have a new rear hatch! Guess what I'm doing tomorrow!!!! =)

Long arms and front locker? Walked up the big rock at the end of conda like a big boy. :cool)

    what a great day.

I'm so happy. :red| I ran all of Collateral, too.

Damn Alan, nice work. I've never seen an XJ take that much damage on CD. Could you not put tires up on the wall and ride it up?

Glad you all had a good time testing the new mods. You picked a great trail for a test. CD was the first place I headed after the stretch.

Alan probably won't spread the blame so I will do it for him...I would say spotting was at least partially to blame for the hatch damage. Didn't have him high enough on the rock on the left so his front slid in the hole instead of climbing around it. When there are too many spotters with different ideas and you're the only XJ on a trail for the first time it's hard to know who to trust :eyeroll: Fortunately Alan is a trooper and gave high-fives all around after the damage "just a part of wheeling sometimes" =)
